What is Pet Tenancy?

Pet Tenancy is a Pawsettle product in development for people who rent or hope to rent with a pet. It focuses on preparation: a structured profile, practical wording and supporting evidence you can present calmly to a landlord or agent.

It is not a substitute for your tenancy agreement, local housing rules or advice from a qualified professional where you need it. It is a toolkit to help you show how you will be a responsible tenant with a pet.

The product is not live yet. When it launches, you will be able to work through it step by step in the same guided style as other Pawsettle document flows.

What your pack can include

Exact wording and layout may change before launch. The aim is to give you a coherent set of outputs you can adapt to your situation and your market.

Possible outputs

  • Pet Request Letter
  • Pet CV
  • Supporting Evidence Summary
  • Landlord Decision Record
  • Further Information Response
  • Refusal Review Summary
  • Bundle Cover Sheet

Why prepare properly?

A clearer story for the person reading your request

When a landlord or agent can see how you care for your pet, what you have prepared at home and how you will handle practical points, the request is easier to assess calmly.

Evidence in one place, not scattered across messages

Vaccination notes, insurance, training summaries and references sit alongside your written request, so you are not resending attachments in different threads at the last minute.

A record you can update as the tenancy search moves on

If you need to adjust details, add a new reference or note a follow up, you keep a single structured pack rather than starting from a blank page each time.

How it works

This is how we expect the flow to feel when Pet Tenancy is available.

1

Build your Tenancy pet profile

You will be able to record the details that identify your pet and explain day to day care, routines and how you manage them responsibly in a home.

2

Attach supporting records

You will be able to link or summarise evidence such as insurance, vet contact, training or previous landlord references in one organised place.

3

Generate your request pack

You will be able to produce the documents that make up your pack, ready to send or hand over in the format that fits your situation.

Important note

Pawsettle is a documentation and preparation tool, not a legal or housing advice service. Pet Tenancy will help you organise information and produce practical documents. It will not tell you whether a landlord must accept a pet, interpret local law for you or replace advice from a solicitor, housing charity or letting professional when you need it.
